A very personal piece published in The Pool

Thanks to The Pool for giving me a platform to share this story. I felt anxious writing something so personal that would actually be read by real readers. It draws attention to myself, and like others, I don’t particularly like being scrutinised. But I suppose I just want to get to the point where talking about these issues is no longer a big deal. Upon publication, I received an overwhelming response from friends and strangers who said it resonated, one of which had me in tears. The resounding message? People want to be heard, but like me for many years, they are scared of speaking out for fear of social stigma. Thanks for reading x

New endometriosis column for SheKnows

This summer I have been commissioned by SheKnows to write a series of articles on endometriosis. 1 in 10 women suffer from this potentially crippling condition, myself included. I was grateful to be offered the opportunity to help raise awareness about endometriosis and women's health in general. According to comScore, in 2012 SheKnows became the top women’s lifestyle site in the U.S.
