I am a writer and editor based in Scotland. I have ten years’ experience freelance writing for magazines and newspapers, both online and print. My work has appeared in/on publications including The Guardian, the BBC, TANK, the LA Review of Books, Electric Literature, The Independent, the New Orleans Review, Oh Comely, Dazed, Stylist, Refinery29, Positive News, The Pool, SheKnows, Huck, Off The Block, Project Calm, Tenderly, Glamour, Chickpea, Women’s Health, Patient and The Millions. I have written columns for Mslexia and for Your Cat Magazine, worked as a TV researcher on documentaries, and for the animal charity PETA UK.

My first novel was shortlisted for Penguin’s WriteNow 2020. My short stories have been anthologised by Litro Magazine, The Aleph Press, Monstrous Regiment Literary Magazine, the Folk Review, Rituals & Declarations and Blood Bath Literary Zine.

I have an MA in Italian and French from the University of Edinburgh and have translated writing from Italian and French for authors and journalists.  

I am the founding editor of Cunning Folk, a popular independent magazine about magic, folklore, mythology and the occult. I recently edited Spiritus Mundi, an anthology of occult writing. I have worked on editorial projects for Magnum photographer Chris Steele-Perkins, Seoul-based magazine MUG and PhotoShelter, among others.
