Writing I’m a freelance writer and journalist based in Scotland. I have eight years’ experience freelance writing for magazines and newspapers, both online and print. My work has appeared in/on publications including The Guardian, the BBC, TANK, the LA Review of Books, Electric Literature, The Independent, the New Orleans Review, Oh Comely, Dazed, Stylist, Refinery29, Positive News, The Pool, SheKnows, Huck, Off The Block, Project Calm, Tenderly, Glamour, Chickpea, Women’s Health, Patient and The Millions. I used to write a column for Your Cat Magazine and hosted the Your Cat Magazine Book Club. I currently write a column for Mslexia on occult writing.

I also write fiction. I am a graduate of Faber Academy and I have been shortlisted for Penguin’s WriteNow 2020. My short stories have been anthologised by Litro Magazine, The Aleph Press, Monstrous Regiment Literary Magazine and Blood Bath Literary Zine.

Editing I am the founding editor of Cunning Folk, a popular independent magazine about magic, folklore, mythology and the occult. I recently edited Spiritus Mundi, an anthology of occult writing. I have worked on editorial projects for Magnum photographer Chris Steele-Perkins, Seoul-based magazine MUG and PhotoShelter, among others.

Television I have been selected by the Edinburgh TV Festival as a The Network Delegate. I have worked as a runner on short films and a TV researcher on documentaries.

Misc I have an MA in Italian and French from the University of Edinburgh and have translated writing from Italian and French for authors and journalists. I have also worked with the animal charity PETA UK.
